The Master’s program, structured within the Car Test Driving and Simulation for Vehicle Dynamics Development track, is designed to train highly qualified professionals with a solid background in vehicle dynamics design. Graduates will be capable of operating throughout all stages of vehicle setup and development, from dynamic simulation to prototype testing, up to the realization of pre-series vehicles.

Students will acquire specific expertise in vehicle testing and validation techniques, both virtually—through CAE systems, with a particular focus on driver training using simulators—and experimentally, through on-track and on-road testing. As an innovative element, alongside classroom training, the program includes testing sessions at the ASC (Automotive Safety Centre), during which participants will be directly involved in learning the techniques and methodologies used in testing, validation, control, and fine-tuning of vehicle dynamic behavior. As a preparatory phase, all participants will take part in a specially designed advanced driving course aimed at preparing them for subsequent on-track testing and validation.

Simulation software such as VI-Grade CarRealTime, MSC Adams, and CFD tools, as well as a specific module on static simulators and a dynamic simulator session at the VI-Grade center in Tavagnacco (UD) or at Danisi Engineering in Nichelino (TO), both partner companies of the program, will be crucial elements of the course.

The Master’s program, as a world premiere, contributes to the development of an entirely new professional profile: the “Certified CAE Driving Simulator Engineer.” This title is reserved for students engaged in internships specifically focused on advanced training and project development using simulators.

The Master’s program is open to candidates who have obtained a three-year Bachelor’s Degree (Diploma di Laurea Triennale) pursuant to D.M. 270/04, in one of the following degree classes:

  • (L-9) Industrial Engineering

Previous regulations and other accepted qualifications/exceptions:

  • (10) Industrial Engineering

Within the above classes, the following degrees will be considered preferential titles:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Nuclear Engineering
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Materials Engineering

Candidates holding a Specialist/Master’s Degree (Laurea Specialistica/Magistrale) pursuant to D.M. 509/99 and D.M. 270/04 in one of the following classes will also be considered eligible:

  • Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering – 25/S, LM-20
  • Automation Engineering – 29/S, LM-25
  • Electrical Engineering – 31/S, LM-28
  • Energy and Nuclear Engineering – 33/S, LM-30
  • Mechanical Engineering – 36/S, LM-33
  • Materials Science and Engineering – 61/S, LM-53

Candidates holding a foreign degree deemed equivalent to the above-mentioned degree classes may also be admitted.
